By plane

By Train

It is not possible to get to San Giovanni Rotondo by train because there is no rail. You can arrive to Foggia which is about 40 Km (good for those coming from the south of Italy) or in San Severo, which is 26 km (good for those coming from the North). You can find the train timetables on the official site of the National Railways www.trenitalia.it . Once in Foggia or San Severo, you can take the SITA buses. You can visit the website of the company www.sitabus.it if you need the bus timetables in the two different towns.

By Coach

There is also another cheap and comfortable way to get to San Giovanni Rotondo: by coach travelling all over Italy. Coming from the north or from the centre the most comfortable one is the "Ferrovie del Gargano" coach (you can look it up on the site www.ferroviedelgargano.it and then click on "Long-range Lines". Coming from the south or Sicily, you can utilize "Interbus” www.interbus.it.

By Car

From The North: Highway A14 (exit San Severo), go on to San Giovanni Rotondo – Father Pio’s tomb. In San Giovanni Rotondo, continue to the centre as far as Viale Aldo Moro. At about 100 meters from the entrance of the new church you can find Immagine Hotel.

From The Centre: Highway A16 Napoli-Bari (exit Candela), follow the road markings to Foggia for about 32 Km, then take the junction for Gargano - Father Pio’s tomb. When you are in San Giovanni Rotondo, turn left and go on to "Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza Hospital"- Saint Pio Shrine. When you arrive at a roundabout, turn on your right towards the centre as far as Viale Aldo Moro. At about 100 meters from the entrance of the new church you can find Immagine Hotel.

From The South: Highway A14 (exit Foggia), continue to San Giovanni Rotondo – Father Pio’s tomb. Turn left and go on to "Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza Hospital"- Saint Pio Shrine. When you arrive at a roundabout, turn on your right towards the centre as far as Viale Aldo Moro. At about 100 meters from the entrance of the new church you can find Immagine Hotel.
